Inclusion Studio
Straight answers about Inclusion Studio: what it is, what exists today, data, AI, permissions, accessibility, pricing and how to join the pilot.
Inclusion Studio is pre-pilot learner support software for England FE and apprenticeship providers. These answers say what exists, what is in development and what we do not claim.
These are the questions we are asked most often, answered plainly. Inclusion Studio is pre-pilot, so many answers separate what exists today from what is being built. If your question is not here, use the contact page.
Every capability on the platform pages is marked In the prototype, In development, Planned or Later. If you find a statement on this site that describes something as live when it is not, please tell us through the contact page so we can correct it.
Our guides explain duties under the Equality Act 2010, the SEND Code of Practice, funding rules and data protection, each linked to primary sources. They are not legal advice. Take professional advice for your own circumstances. For quick definitions, see the glossary.
Learner support software for England further education colleges and apprenticeship providers. It helps staff hear what helps a learner, agree a plan the learner has seen, record delivered and missed support, and review whether it worked.
No. It is pre-pilot. A clickable prototype with fictional learners exists, and the production application is in development using synthetic data only.
Inclusion leads, learning support managers, tutors, assessors, learners, apprenticeship employer contacts and organisation admins in England FE colleges and apprenticeship providers. A school edition would come later, after separate validation.
Understand, Agree, Deliver and Review. Hear what helps in the learner's own words, agree a plan the learner has seen, record what was delivered or missed and how it recovered, then ask the learner whether it helped and keep, change or stop support.
You can view five fictional learners, open their plans, complete and save a review, use a labelled sample AI draft, view illustrative insights and switch on larger text or reduced motion. Data stays in memory and resets on refresh.
No, and it must not. It uses fictional records, has no login or database, and keeps changes only in your browser session.
No. There are no customers yet, so there are no logos, testimonials or case studies on this site.
Pricing is per learner on roll per month: £2.00 for each of the first 500 learners and £1.00 for each from 501 to 2,000, invoiced annually. Essentials starts at £750 a month and Professional at £2,500 a month, excluding VAT. Group is quoted. It is never priced by learners with a plan or diagnosis. Pilot providers pay nothing during the pilot. See the pricing page.
Use the pilot page if you work in an England FE college or apprenticeship provider. Real learner data would be used only after security, privacy and accessibility review and agreed terms.
The primary application database is hosted in London. Some supporting services, such as sign-in, hosting and file storage, may process data elsewhere. Each will be documented and assessed before real learner data is used. We do not claim UK-only processing.
We make no claim of certification or automatic compliance. It holds no security certifications yet. Data protection obligations rest with the provider as controller, and we aim to support a DPIA with clear information. See the trust pages.
Permissions are enforced on the server by organisation, relationship and field. A tutor sees what they need for their learners. Employer contacts see only workplace adjustments and their own actions, never the full history.
No. The prototype has no login or access control and shows a tutor's view only. Permissions are being built in the production application.
Optionally. AI drafts are labelled and a person reviews them before anything is saved. The prototype uses a fixed sample draft and sends no information to any AI service. Gemini on Google Cloud Vertex AI is the selected provider, tested with synthetic data only in a preview environment. The live application uses a mock, and no real learner data has been sent to any AI provider.
No. AI never diagnoses, refuses support, makes decisions, shares information externally or is trained on case records.
Yes. The full support journey is designed to work without AI.
No. It focuses on learner support. It does not replace your student record, timetable or safeguarding systems, and safeguarding concerns follow your safeguarding procedures.
Not yet. CSV import and export are planned, followed by one integration chosen from real pilot demand. We will not claim integration with any system until it is built and tested.
No software can promise that. Inclusion Studio can help you keep a clear record of what was agreed, delivered and reviewed, but the provider remains responsible for meeting its duties and for its own judgements.
No. It does not calculate an inclusion score, rank learners or providers, or predict inspection outcomes. The insights in the prototype are illustrative figures only.
WCAG 2.2 AA is the target. The prototype offers larger text and reduced motion, and has had browser checks at desktop and phone sizes. Full assistive-technology testing and an independent audit are still to do, so no conformance is claimed.
Later, after separate validation. Schools have different duties, data and users, so it is not simply the same product renamed.
A workplace edition is a later, separate edition with its own employment rules and data boundaries. Apprenticeship employer contacts can already be part of the FE and apprenticeship design, with a narrow view.
Yes. The guides, templates, glossary and free tools do not require the software. They explain duties and good practice but are not legal advice.
Use the contact page. For security concerns see the responsible disclosure page, and for accessibility issues see the accessibility statement.
We are working with a small number of England FE colleges and apprenticeship providers first. Tell us about your learner support and we will be in touch.
