In short

Inclusion Studio is learner support software built around one journey, Understand, Agree, Deliver and Review, so every adjustment is agreed with the learner, delivered, evidenced and checked. It is pre-pilot: a clickable prototype with fictional learners exists and the production application is in development.

Understand

Hear what helps, in the learner’s words, and get requests to the right person.

Learner voice

Learner voice software that keeps the learner's own words at the centre of every support record, from first request to review. What the prototype shows today.

In development

Support requests

A support request system for colleges and training providers: one way for learners, tutors and employers to ask for support, so no request is lost in email.

In development

Triage and referrals

How a learning support referral system can help inclusion teams sort new referrals and requests by urgency and next step, with a human decision and recorded reason.

Agree

Turn it into a plan the learner has seen, with an owner for every action.

Support plans

Learner support plan software that records what was agreed with the learner, what was disputed, who owns each action and when the plan will be reviewed.

In development

Reasonable adjustments

Reasonable adjustments tracking software for FE and apprenticeships: capture, agree, share, deliver, recover and review each adjustment with the learner.

In development

SEND and ALS support

SEND and ALS management software for colleges and post-16 providers: record and track the support learners need, including EHCP section F and high needs evidence.

Deliver

Record what actually happened in sessions and the workplace, and recover what slipped.

Delivery tracking

Support delivery tracking software lets staff record delivered and missed support against each agreed action, so reviews rest on evidence, not memory.

In development

Missed support recovery

How Inclusion Studio will record missed support, the reason and the recovery step, so a gap becomes a visible, fixable event and not a hidden failure.

In development

Employer collaboration

Employer adjustments software for apprentices: employers deliver agreed workplace adjustments and see only what they need, never the learner's full history.

Review

Ask whether it helped, keep, change or stop support, and evidence the whole story.

Support reviews

Support plan review software that brings learner feedback, delivery records and a clear keep, change or stop decision into one short, human conversation.

In development

Evidence export

Learning support evidence software that produces a controlled, reviewable export of agreed, delivered and reviewed support for audit or inspection preparation.

In the prototype

Insights

How Inclusion Studio insights will show whether agreed support is delivered, what learners say and where reviews are overdue, without an inclusion score.

Foundations

The controls underneath every step: access, documents, AI, data in and accessibility.

Permissions and roles

How Inclusion Studio will enforce who can see and do what by organisation, relationship and field on the server, so hiding a button is never the safeguard.

In development

Documents

How Inclusion Studio will store learner support documents in private storage, released only to authorised people, with untrusted uploads held until scanned.

AI drafts

AI for learner support plans in Inclusion Studio: optional help with support plan writing, clearly labelled, reviewed by a person and never used to decide.

Imports and integrations

How Inclusion Studio, as learner support software, plans CSV import and export first, then one integration chosen from real pilot demand.

Accessibility features

Accessible learner support software, designed to target WCAG 2.2 AA, with larger text and reduced motion in the prototype and manual testing still to come.

Inclusion Studio is being built with England further education colleges and apprenticeship providers. Each capability below is labelled honestly: In the prototype means you can try it in our clickable prototype with fictional records, In development means it is being built for the pilot, and Planned means it is on the roadmap but not started.

Everything is organised around the learner’s support journey, described in how it works, and every view is limited by permissions and roles.

What is learner support software?

Learner support software is a single, permissioned place to record what a learner needs, what was agreed, what was delivered and whether it helped. In many FE colleges and apprenticeship providers that information is spread across a spreadsheet, a shared drive, the student record system and staff inboxes. It works until someone asks a simple question: did this learner actually get the support in their plan, and did it make a difference?

Inclusion Studio is designed to answer that question without extra admin. It is inclusion software for FE colleges and apprenticeship providers, not a general case management tool and not a safeguarding system. Safeguarding concerns stay with your designated safeguarding lead, as explained in our safeguarding boundaries.

What should a learner support platform do?

A learner support platform should help you follow the whole journey, not just store a plan. In Inclusion Studio that means four stages:

How does Inclusion Studio protect learner information?

Access is checked on the server for every request, by organisation, relationship and field, so hiding a button is never the safeguard. Apprenticeship employers see only workplace adjustments and their own actions through employer collaboration, never the learner’s full history. Uploaded documents go to private storage. The trust centre sets out what is designed, what is not yet done and where data is processed.

Where does AI fit in?

AI is optional and always human-reviewed. AI drafts are labelled, and a person checks them before anything is saved. AI never diagnoses, refuses support, makes decisions or shares information externally, and the prototype uses a sample draft rather than a live AI provider. Gemini on Google Cloud Vertex AI is the selected provider, tested with synthetic data only, and no real learner data has been sent to any AI provider. Read our AI principles for the full boundaries.

How do I see it working?

The quickest way is to join the pilot conversation or contact us for a walkthrough of the prototype. If you are still weighing up options, our guide to choosing learner support software and the comparisons are written to be useful whichever tool you pick.

Frequently asked questions

What is learner support software?

Learner support software helps an education or training provider record what a learner needs, agree a support plan, track whether the support is delivered and review whether it helped. It replaces scattered spreadsheets, documents and emails with one controlled record.

Who is Inclusion Studio for?

The pilot is for England further education colleges and apprenticeship providers. A school edition and a separate workplace edition are planned for later, each validated on its own.

Can I use Inclusion Studio today?

You can try a clickable prototype with fictional learners. The production application is in development, uses synthetic data only and holds no real learner data yet.

Do I have to use AI?

No. AI drafting is optional and the full journey works without it. Any AI draft is labelled and a person reviews it before it is saved.

Does Inclusion Studio make support decisions?

No. Staff and learners make decisions. The software records what was agreed, what was delivered and what the learner said about it.
