Cookie policy

Draft cookie policy. The Inclusion Studio website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. We will update this policy before that ever changes.

Draft for review Updated

Draft for review. This document is a working draft prepared before launch. It has not yet been reviewed by a qualified legal adviser and will be finalised before any real personal data is processed.

In short

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking technologies. If we ever plan to add any, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Draft. This policy has not yet been reviewed by a qualified adviser. Text in square brackets will be completed before the website launches.

This policy explains our use of cookies and similar technologies on the Inclusion Studio website. The short version: we do not use any.

Does this website use cookies?

No. This website does not set any cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising, social media tracking pixels, session recording, fingerprinting or any similar technology. You will not see a cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your device. “Similar technologies” include anything else that stores information on your device or reads information from it, such as local storage, tracking pixels, scripts that read device characteristics, and some kinds of fingerprinting. In the UK these are covered by regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR). The rule is that a website must not store or access information on your device unless you consent, or one of the exceptions in Schedule A1 to PECR applies. The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) regulates this.

Do any third parties set cookies through this website?

Not as far as we are aware. We load our fonts from this website rather than from a third-party font service, and we do not embed third-party videos, maps, social media feeds or chat widgets. If a page ever links to another website, that website’s own cookie policy applies once you follow the link.

Our hosting provider receives technical data, such as your IP address, when your browser requests a page. That is how any website is delivered and does not involve storing anything on your device. Our privacy notice explains how that data is handled.

What about the free tools on this website?

The free tools run entirely in your browser and do not set cookies or store what you type. If we ever add a feature that saves your work in your browser, for example using local storage, the tool page will say so, the information will stay on your device, and we will ask for consent first where PECR requires it.

What about the Inclusion Studio application?

This policy covers the public website only. The Inclusion Studio application, which is still in development, will need some cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in securely. Under PECR, storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, such as keeping you signed in, does not need consent, though you should still be told about it. We will publish a separate notice for the application listing what it uses before any provider uses it.

Will this change?

We will update this policy before adding any cookie, analytics or similar technology to this website. The update will say:

  • what we are adding and why;
  • who provides it and what data it collects;
  • how long any information is stored on your device;
  • whether it needs your consent, and how to give or withdraw it.

PECR, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, now includes some exceptions to the consent requirement, for example for certain statistical purposes, where clear information and a simple, free way to object are provided. If we ever rely on an exception like that, we will explain it here and give you the means to object. Where consent is needed, we will not set the cookie until you have given it, and it will be as easy to refuse as to accept.

How can I control cookies myself?

Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies and site data in their settings. Because this website sets no cookies, blocking them will not affect how it works.
